Our History

During the turn-of-the-century orange boom, Redlands was made a center of wealth on the West Coast. Mutual Orange Distributors, a co-operative of orange growers that was once a major contributor to the local economy, broke ground in 1927 for offices at the corner of Brookside Avenue and Grant Street. In 1956, the name was changed to Pure Gold. The company finally folded in 1989, long after its Redlands packing house had closed its doors.
